Labour’s Tuition Fee Debacle
“Labour must stand by its commitment to end the national scandal of spiralling student debt and abolish tuition fees. We lost the election, but we did not lose our values or determination to tackle the injustice facing young people going to university.” – Keir Starmer, 2020 “The Labour Party is a moral crusade or it […] Source

Landlords are unfairly painted as evil Dickens characters
FROM the contents of Friday’s National it seems the subject of rent controls is again making its way to the top of the Scottish political agenda. On one hand Green MSP Maggie Chapman claims that the SNP’s plan for rent controls falls far short of what is needed. The SNP’s Paul McLennan is proposing a cap in controlled areas. We Need to reimagine masculinity and ask why men are supporting Trump
Regardless of the outcome of the November 5 election, consistent polls predict a massive gender gap in support between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. Men are more likely to vote for Trump, women more likely to vote for Harris. All over the world, it is mainly men who are driving the rise of authoritarian strongmen […] Source
Trump, Scotland, America and the world
Donald Trump has weighed into the Scottish independence debate in his typically incoherent and ill-informed way. Earlier this month Trump appeared on the podcast of comedian Andrew Schulz. No, I’d never heard of him either. Schulz has been criticised for his right wing takes, racist stereotyping, and his tendency to punch…
